The News of Orange County, August 21, 1969
Mrs. Lena Cheek Dunaway, daughter of the late Robert D. Cheek and Fannie 
Brewer Cheek, died July 19 at Hillcrest Convalescent Home.
She was born in Orange County.
She lived in Durham since 1912.
She was previously employed with the Durham Chamber of Commerce, but, was 
associated with her husband in operating Dunaway's, Inc. of Durham at the time 
of her death.
Member of First Baptist Church in Durham
She married John W. Dunaway of Durham on August 14, 1932.
Survivors include -
Husband: John W. Dunaway
One sister: Miss Luna Cheek of Durham
Two brothers: Clifton Cheek and Carl L. Cheek of Durham
Funeral held July 21 at Howerton-Bryan Funeral Chapel by Rev. R.F. Smith, 
pastor of First Baptist Church.
Burial in Maplewood Cemetery
