Garrard, widow of the late J.D. Garrard of Orange County, died after a few hours illness. Her health had been declining several months. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. M. Johnson of Roxboro road, Sunday night. Survivors: One daughter, four sons; W. H. and J. C. of Orange County and J. H. and G. E. Garrard of Durham One Sister: Mrs. J. W. Cook of Orange County Eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren The funeral was conducted Tuesday at Pleasant Green Methodist church at 3:00 pm. Rev. S. J. Starnes and Rev. E. C. Brewer conducted the service. Burial was in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers: M. L. Hutchins, Raymond Cheek, Ervin Umstead, G. P. Walker, John Miller, Ed Umstead Honorary pallbearers: J. D.
