Samuel Nelson Haynes of Efland, died Sunday in Durham. He was 86.
A native of Orange County and a former insurance salesman.
Funeral held Wednesday at Chestnut Ridge Methodist Church by Rev. J.P. 
Clodfelter Jr. and Rev. J.F. Minnis with burial in the church cemetery.
A member of Chestnut Ridge Methodist Church.
Survivors include -
Two daughters: Miss Mary Haynes of Rockfeller University, New York City and 
Mrs. Odell Sykes of Efland
Two sons: Norman T. Haynes of Mebane and Horner Haynes of Burlington
Three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren
