Friday, Feb. 12, 1812
FATAL ACCIDENT - On Wednesday last, GEORGE HERNDON, 16 years of age, son of 
MAJOR Z. HERNDON of Orange, was killed between this place and MR. PRIDE'S, on 
Chapel Hill road, by a wagon running over him. He was riding in the wagon, a 
black boy driving, when he was thrown out and fell beneath the wheels.
