Drewery Allan Hester, died October 11 at his home in Hurdle Mills. He was 69.
He died of a heart attack after several years of illness.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. S.F. Nicks of Hillsboro and Rev. Paul 
K. Ausley, Thursday afternoon at 4:00.
He was buried in the Hester Family Cemetery near Hester's Store.
He was a member of Roxboro Presbyterian Church.
Survivors:
Wife: Mrs. Lelia Compton Hester of the home
One Daughter: Mrs. Janie Poe of Cedar Grove
One Son: Robert Allan Hester of the home
Three Brothers: Henry J. Hester of Roxboro, Frank J. and Robert L. of Roxboro
Three Sisters: Mrs. Walter Bradsher and Misses Addie and Bessie Hester of 
Hurdle Mills
