JOHN WESLEY JORDAN
  John Wesley Jordan, 83, died at his home in Cedar Grove, Orange County, 
Wednesday.  He was a prominent farmer and highly respected resident of the 
community.
  Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock and 
burial will be in the cemetery at Cedar Grove Methodist Church.
  Mr. Jordan is survived by his widow, formerly Miss Elizabeth Wilkerson, and 
eight children, R. E. Jordan, Mebane; W. P. Jordan, Chapel Hill; M. N. Jordan, 
Cedar Grove; Mrs. B. C Thompson, Norline; Mrs. H. L. Lynch and Mrs. T. O. 
Roberts; Hillsboro; Mrs. Mamie J. Parker, Burlington; and Miss Wesley Jordan, 
Raleigh; one sister, Mrs. W. L. McDade, Cedar Grove.
  The deceased was a brother of the late Dr. Thomas M. Jordan of Raleigh.
