Vance F. Keck of West Hillsboro, died Monday night in Memorial Hospital in 
Chapel Hill. He was 72.
Funeral held at Wednesday at 4 p.m. at West Hillsboro Baptist Church by Rev. 
G.B. Vaughan, Rev. W.S. Williamson, Rev. H. F. Donnelly and Rev. Cordell Ellis.
Burial in Hillsboro Cemetery
Survivors:
Three daughters: Mrs. Elsie M. Jenkins of Kinston, Mrs. Selma Suggs of Haw 
River and Mrs. Kathleen Conklin of Durham
One son: Melvin Keck of the home
Three sisters: Mrs. Janie Wagstaff, Mrs. Myrtle Harris and Mrs. Bertha Evans 
all of Durham
One brother: Thomas Keck of Durham
Seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren
Pallbearers: Ira Peede, John Terrell, Harold Dickey, Harry Lamb, Thomas 
Westbrook and Roy Hardee
