The News of Orange County, December 7, 1944
Private Glenn W. Kennedy was killed in action, November 4, in France.
Entered the service January 30, 1944.
Director of Piedmont Packing Company and connected with the Kennedy Lumber 
Company, prior to entering the service.
Training at Camp Blanding, Florida, sent to Italy in July for six months, then 
was moved to France.
In the Army Infantry.
Survivors:
Wife: Mrs. Mildred Walker Kennedy
Parents: Mr. and Mrs. G.C. Kennedy
A Son: Eugene Welbourne, 3 yrs old
Infant Daughter: Sandra
Four brothers: Roy, Lewis, Lee and Everett
One sister: Marie Kennedy, all of Hillsboro
