DEATH OF A BRAVE YOUNG MAN
   We are pained to learn that LIEUT. W.P. MANGUM, of Orange County, wounded 
at the Battle of Manassas has since died. North Carolina mourns the loss of 
her brave sons, but in this crisis where one falls let ten take his place.
