I. Mangum died at his home in West Hillsboro after a one week illness on Wednesday morning. Son of William and Elizabeth Mangum of Orange County. He had worked at Eno Cotton Mill as a mechanic the last four years. He was a member of West Hillsboro Baptist Church, the Junior order and past master of Eagle Lodge No. 19. Survivors: Wife: Mrs. Lucy Parker Mangum Five Sons: W. O., James and John all of Hillsboro, Frank and Calvin, both with the Navy Five Daughters: Misses, Peggy, Ruth and Rosa Mangum of Hillsboro, Miss Eula Mangum of Burlington and Mrs. W. T. King of Washington, D.C. One Sister: Mrs. T. L. Poole of Durham One Brother: W. T. Mangum nineteen grandchildren Funeral services were held October 6 at West Hillsboro Baptist Church. Burial was in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
