He was 72. Employed 35 years with State Highway Department and a former superintendent of the Hillsboro prison camp seven years. Retired in July 1956. Suffered a heart attack Tuesday morning at home. Funeral held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Little River Presbyterian Church. Member of Little River Presbyterian Church from early childhood. Services conducted by Rev. Clarker Porter and Rev. K.M. Misenheimer. Burial in church cemetery.
