Mrs. Ida Lee Carey Parker of Hurdle Mills died of an apparent heart attack 
last Tuesday. She was dead on arrival at Watts Hospital. She was 72.
A native of Orange County and member of Walnut Grove Methodist Church
Survivors include -
Two daughters: Mrs. Mary Lee Bukes of Foley, Ala., Mrs. Orma Webb Falesby of 
Asheville
Three sons: Bernard Hurley Parker of Durham, Clifton Parker of Rougemont and 
Roy Parker of the home
Five sisters: Mrs. Maude Parrish and Mrs. Frances Burgess of Durham, Mrs. Ruth 
Yates of Efland, Mrs. Lois Tilley of Hurdle Mills and Mrs. Ruby Paschelli of 
Hydesville, Md
One brother: Dewey B. Carey of Hurdle Mills
14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren
Funeral held April 11 at Walnut Grove Methodist Church by the Rev. Rutledge 
Sherridan and Rev. Vassar Jones
Burial in the church cemetery.
