Everette Edgar Petty Jr. of Hillsborough, died Tuesday in Watts Hospital in 
Durham. He was 58.
He was self employed in the resale business.
A member and on the board of trustees and stewards of Promised Grove Methodist 
Church.
Survivors include -
Widow: Mrs. Ruth Riggsbee Petty
Four sons: Gilbert and Vernon Petty of Hillsborough, Lowell and Roy Petty of 
the home
One brother: Victor Petty of Seattle, Wash.
Two sisters: Mrs. Blanche Riley of Durham and Mrs. Eula Yates of Chapel Hill
One grandchild

Additional Comments:
The obituary says Promised Grove Methodist Church. I believe it should read: 
Palmer's Grove Methodist Church.
