The News of Orange County, March 30, 1967
Mrs. Bessie Allen Phelps of Cedar Grove, died Sunday at Watts Hospital in 
Durham.
She was 87.
A life member of Prospect Hill Baptist Church.
Funeral held Tuesday at Prospect Hill Baptist Church by Elder W.C. King and 
Rev. C. Williams.
Burial in Cedar Grove Methodist Church cemetery.
Survivors -
Two daughters: Mrs. Gladys Long and Mrs. Louise Pittard of Cedar Grove
5 grandchildren
Pallbearers: Mon Allen, Gordon and Wyatt Phelps, Melvin Wright, Melvin Ward 
and Allen Aldridge
