   DEATH OF WILLIAM H. PITTMAN
  MR. WILLIAM H. PITTMAN, a young man who came to Chapel Hill to enter the 
University, a short time since, died of a congestive chill on Sunday last. He 
was from Florida, we learn, and had been unwell for several days last week, 
but was still able to be out until Sunday, when he was suddenly stricken down 
and died in a short time. -- Chapel Hill Gazette
