2740 and Durham Sertoma Club more than 40 years
Employed by Unijax Inc about 25 years before retiring in 1971
Member of Angier Avenue Baptist Church and the fellowship class of the Sunday
School
Funeral: January 2, Angier Avenue Baptist Church
Officiating: Rev. Crate Jones and Rev. Kevin Byers
Burial: Woodlawn Memorial Park
Survivors: wife, Mrs. Alma Scoggins Porterfield
1 daughter, Miss Alice Porterfield of the home
1 son, V. Calvin Porterfield of Alexandria, Va
