The News of Orange County, November 30, 1972
Nazar Vernon Ray, died in Watts Hospital in Durham.
Died Saturday November 25
Died of burns suffered a month ago, while burning brush, his clothing
caught on fire
He was 78.
A native of Orange County and a retired farmer
Funeral held Sunday, November 26 at Little River Presbyterian Church
Rev. Larry Churchill and Rev. James Donnell officiated
Burial in the church cemetery
Survivors:
Five sisters: Mrs. Olive R. McKee of Rougemont, Mrs. Mary R. Wilson of 
Hillsborough, Miss Floy Ray, Miss Vera Ray and Miss Coy Ray, all of Hurdle 
Mills
