Mrs. Mildred Teusler Ringwalt died at her home.
She was 86.
Native of Tokyo
Previously lived in Beijing, China, London and Kingston, Jamaica
Retired in 1959 to Chapel Hill
Memorial Service: January 8 at Carolina Friends School, 3 pm
Survivors: 1 daughter, Mrs. Mary Stuart Reeve, Chapel Hill
2 sons, Arthur R. Ringwalt Jr of Los Angeles
Christopher Ringwalt, Hillsborough
4 grandchildren
Supporter of the Civil Rights Movement
Helped in founding Carolina Friends School and served on its first board of
directors
Represented Chapel Hill Society of Friends (Quakers) in the founding to the
Inter-Church (now Inter-
Faith) Council
Was Keeper of the Wednesday vigil protesting the Vietnam War
