The News, Hillsboro, N.C., Thursday, June 29, 1944
Mrs. W. T. Roberts of Orange County died June 17 at Watts Hospital in Durham, 
after one week of illness and the complication of diseases.
She was 66.
She was a member of the Sharon Methodist church.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. S.F. Nicks on June 19. Burial was in 
the church cemetery.
Survivors:
Husband: W. T. Roberts
Six Sons: Leon of Goldsboro, Cleon of Prospect Hill, William of Portsmouth, 
Virginia, Reid of Hillsboro, Preston and Frank of the home.
Three Daughters: Mrs. L. T. Tilley and Miss Beatrice Roberts of Hillsboro and 
Miss Mabel Roberts of Raleigh
Three Sisters: Mrs. Ada Tilley of Rougemont, Mrs. R. W. Anderson of Hillsboro 
and Mrs. H. F. Parker of Anderson, South Carolina
11 grandchildren

Additional Comments:
She was Virginia Frances Laws, daughter of William Rufus "Buck" Laws and Mary 
Jane Gray. She is buried in the New Sharon United Methodist Church Cemetery.
