Horace L. Shambley of Durham, died at Duke Medical Center on July 19. He was 
33.
Born and reared in Orange County
Son of Willie Edgar Shambley and Martha Stanley Shambley
Educated in Orange County schools
A member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church for many years
A resident of Durham since 1965
Employed at General Telephone Company in the P.B.X.
Survivors include -
Widow: former Miss Ruby Fletcher
One son: Michael Steven Shambley
One daughter: Miss Cathy Diane Shambley
Parents: Mr. and Mrs. Willie Edgar Shambley of Durham
Two brothers: Byrd and Albert Shambley of Durham
Six sisters: Mrs. W.T. Rigsbee, Mrs. Wyatt Clements and Mrs. Malcome Barton of 
Durham, Mrs. Dale Hall of Wyoming, PA, Mrs. L.L. Riley of Durham and Mrs. Faye 
Sorahan of Durham
Funeral held July 22 at Howerton-Bryan Funeral Chapel.
