Lawrence F. Shoe, died in Efland at the age of 66. He had been ill for two 
weeks.
The funeral was conducted from the home, by Rev. [?] Adams.
He was buried in the [He]bron Methodist church cemetery in Alamance County.
Survivors:
Wife: Former Miss Lucy Evins
Six daughters: Mrs. Dewey Couch of the home; Mrs. Frank Hamp and [Mrs] Sherman 
Watts of Middle[?], Va; Mrs. Vance Ball of Asheville and Mrs. Herman [?]tt of 
Burlington
Two sons: Pvt. [?] Shoe (overseas) and E. [?] Shoe of Efland
One sister: Mrs. [?] Amick of Julian
Three brothers: W.D. of Mebane; S.B. and Slim Shoe of Burlington
