Noah Alexander Stanton died Saturday at a Chapel Hill hospital. He was 85.
He had been ill for 7 years.
Survivors include -
Widow: Mrs. Donnie Gibson Stanton
Two sons: James D. Stanton of Newak, Calif. and Noah Stanton, Jr. of 
Hillsborough
Four daughters: Mrs. Sarah Whitfield of Kinston, Mrs. Lucille Smith, Mrs. 
Frances King and Mrs. Catherine Nowell of Durham
Five sisters: Mrs. Noah Hubbard, Mrs. Alma Morris, Mrs. Beulah Crumpacker and 
Mrs. Sarah Wilkerson of Durham and Mrs. Helen Beverly of McCott, SC
Funeral held Monday in Walker's Funeral Chapel by Rev. John Paschall of Chapel 
Hill and Rev. Clarence Hager.
Burial in Restland Memory Gardens in Orange County
