Cpl. Madison W. Stutts, USMCR, killed in action, February 28 in Iwo Jima.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy L. Stutts of Durham.
Nephew of Mrs. W.W. McDade of Hillsboro and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. S.W. 
Stutts of West Hillsboro.
Attended East Durham Junior High School and employed at Carpenter Motor 
Company when he entered the Marine Corps, January 1943.
Received training at Parris Island, SC and had been overseas 14 months.
