The News of Orange County, January 11, 1973
Mrs. Carrie Birch Talley, died Saturday, January 6 in Person County Memorial 
Hospital.
She was 90 and a resident of Cedar Grove.
Funeral conducted January 7 at Prospect Hill Trinity Baptist Church.
Elder J.M. Newburn and Elder Burch Wray conducted the service.
Burial in Cooper's Cemetery.
Survivors:
Five daughters: Mrs. Pearl Carver of Prospect Hill; Mrs. Maybelle Pope of 
Cedar Grove; Miss Mary Talley, Mrs. Emma Bowes and Mrs. Francis Bowen, all of 
Roxboro.
Four sons: Morris Talley of Mebane; Burch Talley and Robert Talley, both of 
Prospect Hill and Gilbert Talley of Cedar Grove
Two sisters: Mrs. Annie Lee Warren and Mrs. Eva Riggs, both of Mebane
39 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren
