The News of Orange County, August 28, 1969
John Lewis Tilley of Bahama, died August 26 at Watts Hospital. He was 65.
Orange County native and son of Davis and Mollie Tilley.
Educated in Orange County schools.
Farmed in Orange and Durham counties all his life.
Was a member for many years of New Bethel Methodist Church
He was married to the former Miss Nellie Gray Jeffreys of Durham County. She 
died many years ago.
Survivors include -
One daughter: Mrs. Mary Ruth Tilley of Bahama
Three grandchildren: Mrs. Mildred Walker, Mrs. Barbara Hylton and Robert Allen 
Tilley of Bahama
One great grandchild
One brother: Charlie Tilley of Rougemont
