The News of Orange County, October 26, 1967
James Cyrus Tilley of Efland, died at Watts Hospital October 17. He was 66.
Survivors include -
Widow: Mrs. Eva Ball Tilley
One son: Rufus Davis Tilley of Efland
One stepson: Robert M. Smith of Hillsborough
One stepdauther: Mrs. Frances Loriane Finley of Cedar Grove
Three grandchildren and one great-grandchild
Two brothers: John Lewis Tilley of Bahama and Charles R. Tilley of Hillsborough
Funeral held Tuesday at Ebenezer Baptist Church by Rev. R.E. Scarlett and Rev. 
Carson O. Wiggins, with burial in New Bethel Church cemetery.
Pallbearers: George Roderic and Alexander Tilley, Lester Ball, Elmer Cates and 
David Blalock.
