The News of Orange County, January 11, 1973
Levie Edward Tippett of Durham, died January 8 at Watts Hospital.
He was 66.
Born in Granville County and attended the county schools there.
Survivors:
Widow: Mrs. Annie Laura Umstead Tippett
Three daughters: Mrs. Thurston Veasey of Durham; Mrs. A.E. Partridge Jr. of 
Concord and Mrs. Vernon Tilley of Hillsborough
One sister: Mrs. Lillie Hill of Durham
Two brothers: Romey Tippett of Rocky Mount and Robert Tippett of Durham
Give grandchildren
