The News of Orange County, August 24, 1967, Page 5
James Monroe Torian of Hillsborough, died Saturday night at Veterans Hospital 
in Durham.
He was 51.
Funeral held Wednesday at Mt. Zion AME Church by Rev. A.J. Holeman, pastor and 
Rev. G.W. Davis, with burial in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Orange County.
Survivors include -
Widow: Mrs. Edith Watkins Torian
Four daughters: Carolyn Marie, Laura Elizabeth, Vicky Arnetta and Arlethia 
Torian of the home
Two sons: James S. and Thomas Eugene Torian of the home
Mother: Mrs. Maggie Torian of Hillsborough
One sister: Mrs. Emma Jones of Hillsborough
Seven brothers: Ernest, Charlie, Andrew, Louis, Rober and Thomas of Orange 
County and Paul Torian of Columbia, Sc
One grandson
