The News of Orange County, October 2, 1969
Allen Hamilton Walker who was associated with Walker's Funeral Home in 
Hillsborough, Chapel Hill and Mebane died September 28 at his home.
He was a lifetime member of Mars Hill Baptist Church.
Attainments:
Past master of Eagle Lodge No. 19, AF&AM
Orange County coroner for 14 years
Former member of the Hillsborough Town Board
Past worthy patron, Grand Sentinel, Order of the Eastern Star
Former director of Consolidated Life Insurance Co.
Former secretary of the NC Funeral Directors and Embalmers
Former director of the sixth district of the funeral directors association
Charter member of the local Lions Club
Services held September 30 at Walker's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the 
Hillsborough Town Cemetery.
Survivors include
Widow: Mrs. Annie Mae Spivey Walker
Son: Allen H. Walker Jr of Hillsborough
Two grandchildren
Two Sisters: Mrs. Ray Ritzel of Durham and Mrs. Frank Liner of High Point
Three Brothers: Frank and Claude Walker of Hillsborough and Joe Walker of 
Chapel Hill
Father: Houston J. Walker of Hillsborough
Pallbearers: Graham Turner, Dr. Jack Moore, Maryland Ray, Remus Smith, Jack 
Miller, Jack Roberts, Gordon Carver and John O'Brient
