William (Junior) Yates of Chapel Hill, died September 27 at his home. He was 
85.
Funeral held Saturday at Barbee Chapel Church by Rev. T.R. Cole, with burial 
in the church cemetery.
Survivors include -
Widow: Mrs. Nosie Yates
Four daughters: Mrs. Veola Yates and Mrs. Mayola Turrentine of Durham County 
and Mrs. Mary Hall of Durham and Mrs. Doris Turrentine of Pittsboro
One brother: Nathaniel Yates of Chapel Hill
One sister: Mrs. Minnie Rigsbee of Durham
32 grandchildren
