In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Couch of the County
of Orange and State of North Carolina beening[sic] weak in body
but in Sound memory thanks be to Almighty God and
cal[l]ing to mind that it is appointed to man to die and
for the better silling[settling] my Estate which it has been[sic]
pleased God to bestow on me do make this my
last Will and testament Revoking all other wills
by me her[e]tofore made after my debts and funeral
Charges[expenses] being[are] paid I leave in manner and form
following Item to my brother William Couch
I give & bequ[e]ath three hundred and fifty one acres
of land and Seven negro[e]s namely Janney and
Gabriel and Alsey and Anderson and M Carline
and Ellin and Cornelius Franis all my horses and
my Cattel[sic] all my hogs and my Sheep and all my
household and Kitchen furniture and all I give
and bequ[e]ath to Thomas White one negro girl
Manely[sic] Seley and to my brother William Couch to
all the Ballance of my property Executors to this
my last will and testament In Witness whereof I have
hereunto Set my hand and Seal this 13th day of February
1845

God to bestow on me do make this my last Will and
Testament revoking all other Wills by me heretofore made
after my debts and funeral expenses are paid I leave
in manner & form following: Item to my brother
William Couch I give and bequeath three hundred
and fifty one acres of Land and seven negroes namely
Jenny and Gabriel and Alsey and Anderson and
M Caroline and Ellen and Cornelius Frannis all
my Horses and my Cattle all my Hogs and my
Sheep and all my Household and Kitchen furniture
and all I give and bequeath to Thomas White
one negro Girl namely Siley and to my brother
William Couch to all the balance of my property
Executors to this my last Will & Testament In
Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
Seal this 13th day of February 1845
