Know all men by these presents that I John Fairman of the
Town of Hillsborough Orange County in the State of North
Carolina for and in consideration of the sum of Sixty pounds
Virginia Money to me in hand paid by Joseph Dixon the receipt
whereof I do hereby acknowledge have Bargained and sold and
by these presents bargain sell and deliver unto the said Joseph
Dixon his heirs and assigns for ever Two Negroes /viz/Janey [???]
a woman about thirty years old and her child Clement about
Eighteen Months old To have and to hold the said Negroes
to him the said Joseph Dixon his heirs and assigns for
Ever and which Negroes I will warrant and for ever
Defend unto said Joseph Dixon above mentioned against
the Claim or Claims of any person or persons whatsoever

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
seal the 25th day of November 1794
