This twenty sixth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred ninety, I Henry Dunweddee of Orange County and the State of North Carolina, being weak of body But of perfect and sound memory Thanks be given unto almighty God for the same and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, I do hereby Constitute Ratify and Confirm this my Last Will and Testament. First is to say I first of all Recommend by Soul and Body in the hands of almighty God who first gave them to be Buried in a Christian like manner at the discression of my Executors hoping at the General resurrection of the dead to receive the forgiving of my sins Through Jesus Christ the Lord and I doe give and dispose of the same in the following manner and form. Item. I give and Bequeath unto my wife Eliza Dunweddee the Hole of my possessions to have & use her natural life. I give and bequeath to my Grandson Absolam Dunweddee the son of John Dunweddee one Certian Negro girl None by the name of Jude after my wife's Death also to my grandson James Dunweddee the son of H. Dunweddee I give fifty pounds apiece to arise off my Estate after my wife's Death also to my Son John Dunweddee I give one Shilling Sterling. Also to my daughter Nancy Long I give one shilling Sterling. Also to my Daughter Sarah Grisham and my Grandson John Jackson the Ballance of my Estate to be Equally Divided between after by wife's death. And I do appoint Joseph Warren and John Redman my Executors of this my last will and Testament Revoking and disannulling all other & former Wills and Testaments by me made - witness I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year first above Ritten.
