Testator: James Ector

In the name of God Amen, I James Ector
of the County of Orange and State of North
Carolina being of sound mind and mem
=ory blessed be God but low in health do
make and ordain this my last will and
Testament - Item first I will that all my
Just debts be paid out of my estate -- --
Item second.  I will and bequeath to my
beloved wife Jane Ector three negroes
Woman Grace Woman Jane and boy
Mitton also my plantation and all my
property of every description except two
negro boys Henderson and Isley which
I will to my daughter Elizabeth Ector
and my Granddaughter Armecy Ector
I will negro boy Henderson to my
daughter Elizabeth Ector and I will
boy Isley to my grand[d]aughter Armecy
Ector --- --- I will that Albert G. Anderson
be my Executor to this my last will
and Testament. In witness of the above
I hereunto set my hand and seal
    September 1st 1849       his
