I William Forsyth of Orange County, state of NCarolina being weak of body but of sound and perfect mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament in the manner and form following (?) after all my just debts are paid, I lend to my beloved wife Mary during her natural life two negroes by the name Sam and Amy, my riding mare Fly, two choice cows and calves and twenty head of choice hogs, all my household and kitchen furniture. Plantation tools enough for two working hands and one years provision of corn fodder and wheat which property at my wifes death is to be equally devided between my children, James, Barnet, John, Margaret, and Gilla and one sixth part of said property to Anna Baileys children. Item, I give and bequeath to my sons Barnet and John and their heirs forever all my landed estate together with their premises houses, animals, etc., to be equally devided between the two said sons Barnet and John. Item, I wish all the rest of my property, perishable and personal to be sold to the highest bidder and to be equally divided between my children James, Barnet, John, Margaret and Gilla after one sixth part of said perishable and personal property is deducted which sixth part I give and bequeath to my grandchildren Anna Baileys children as they shall come to the ages of twenty one. Item, I give to my daughter Anna ten dollars it being all I intend her. I constitute and appoint my friends Thos Snipes and Elijah Graves trustees and gardians[sic] of my son John and his property for life. Finally I constitute and hereby appoint my son Barnet Forsyth and my friend William McCauley for executors of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
