I Richard Gott of the County of Orange and state of North Carolina being in a low state of Health, but of sound mind and memory. I make and constitute this my last Will and Testament in manner and &[sic] form following. - 1st. It is my will and desire at all my just debts be paid out of my Estate. - 2nd The residue of my Estate both real and personal I Will and Bequeath to my dearly beloved wife Catherine Gott and Sarah Squires daughter of Thomas Squires to them their heirs or assigns forever (Viz) two thirds to my dearly beloved wife Catherine Gott, and the remaining one third to Sarah Squires Signed, sealed and acknowledged before us to be his last will and Testament.
