In the name of God Amen I Margaret Herndon
of the County & State above named being of Sound
["mind" x-out] and perfect mind and memory (Blessed
be God) do this 16 day of August (1847) in the
year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred and Forty
Seven make and publish this my last will
and Testament in manner Following this is to
say

i. I give and bequeath unto my Sister
Elizabeth Herndon my Interest in one horse
colt that is my half of said colt and one Bed
& furniture and all my Interest in my father
William Herndons Dcd. Estate it being undevided
consisting of Land and other property &c

And I hereby make and ordain my friend and
Sister Elizabeth Herndon Executor[sic] of this my
Last will and Testament In Witness whereof I
the said Margaret have to this my Last Will and
Tenament[sic] set my hand and seal the day and
year above written

Margaret Herndon The Testator as her Last Will and
Testament in the presence of us who were present
at the time of signing and sealing thereof

Herndon my interest in one horse colt that

The Execution of the forgoing last Will & Testament of Margaret
Herndon decd was duly proven in open Court by
the oaths of William Trice Noah Trice the subscribing
witnesses thereto & ordered to be recorded ~~ At the
same time Elizabeth Herndon the Executrix named
in said Will appeared in open Court and was
qualified accordingly
