In the Name of God Amen I John Holstein
of the County [of] Orange & state of No Carolina being
Sick and Week of Body but of perfect Sence[sic] and
Sound Memory do Constitute and ordain this
my last Will and Testament First I Give &
Bequeath my Soul into the hands of God that
Gave it me and my Body to be Buried in a
Christian like manner at the Descretion[sic] of my
Executors ~~  ~~  ~~  ~~  ~~  ~~  ~~  ~~

Item I give & Bequeath unto my Well Beloved
    Brother Jacob Holstein my land lying on
    Adcock Creek in the County of Granville
    Containing one hundred & ninety Six Acres
    Joining unto Robert Allison land To him
    and his heirs for Ever  ~~  ~~  ~~  ~~

Item I Give and Bequeath unto my well Beloved
    Brother in law Henry Straider my Two
    hundred acres of land lying in the Same
    County of Granville and on the Same Creek
    and Joining Williams Ogelvis land he
    Paying unto Brother Jacob Holstein the
    Sum of Eleven Pound[s] in Gould[sic] or Silver Law
    full money of the State of North Carolina
    Likewise to pay unto my three Beloved
    Sisters Mary Holstein Susanna Holsten
    and Barbary Man The Sum of Eight Pounds
    Each in Gould or Silver Lawfull money of
    the State of No Carolina or To their heirs or
    assigns to pay it Two years after my Decease
    Each to have four Pound[s] Paid them the first
    Year and four Pound Each the Second year

Item I also appoint Henry Straider and Jacob
    Holstein Executors of this my last will &
    Testament where unto I have set my hand &
    affixed my seal this 11 of Sepr. in the year of our
              Lord Christ 1789             his

gave it me and my body to be buried in a
Christian like manner at the discretion of my
Executors Item I give and bequeath to my well
beloved brother Jacob Holstein my Land lying on
Adcock Creek in the County of Granville containing
One hundred and twenty[ninety] Six Acres adjoining
Robert Allisons Land to him & his heirs
forever Item I give and bequeath to my
well beloved brotherinlaw Henry Streider my
two hundred Acres of Land lying in the same
County of Granville and on the same Creek
adjoi[n]ing William Ogelvis land he paying unto
Brother Jacob Holstein the Sum of Eleven
pounds in Gold or Silver Lawful Money
of the State of North Carolina likewise
to pay to my three well beloved Sisters Mary
Susannah, and Barbaryman, the Sum of
Eight pounds each in Gold or Silver lawful
Money of North Carolina, or to their heirs or
assigns to pay it two years after my decease
each to have four pounds paid them the first
