First My will and desire is that my Ex- ecutor, hereinafter named, shall procure for my body a decent burial, pay all my just debts whatsoever or to whomsoever owing owing[sic], out of the moneys that may first come into his hands, as a parcel or part of my estate. Item I give and bequeath to my son Bennett, and daughters Martha Ann and Mary Shaw, all my property of every de- scription absolutely forever said property to be equally divided between them. Lastly, I do hereby constitu[t]e and ap- point my son, Bennett C. Hopkins, my true and lawful Executor to this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and declaring void all other Wills & Testaments heretofore made by me.
