Written: February 17, 1785

Orange Co., North Carolina Will book A, page 354, 17 February 1785:
“To all people to whom these presents shall come, I George Horner do send 
greeting, know ye that the said George Horner of the County of Orange and State 
of North Carolina for and in consideration of the love, good will and Effection 
which I have and do bare towards my son James have given and granted and by 
these presents do freely give and grant unto the said James Horner his heirs 
Executors or administrators the plantation wherein I now liveth and possesseth 
after my decease to have and to hold all the said land and premises to him his 
heirs Executors or administrator from henceforth as his and their proper land 
and premises A C sold to by without any manner of condition. In witness whereof 
I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Seventeenth day of February one 
Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Five.                his
