All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Ben Franklin ben.franklin.ffru@gmail.com May 2024 Source: Loose Will, NC Archives CR 073.801, Will Book Volume E, pages 393-394 Written: August 4, 1836 Recorded: Nov 1836 Testator: Isabel Johnston In the name of God Amen I Isabel Johnston of Northcarolina[sic] Orange County being weak in body, but of sound and perfect mind and memory, blessed be Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following First, I give and bequeath unto my youngest daughter Fanny, My Grey mare, one cow, her choice, one little wheel, one bed and furniture, and all the cupboard ware, I Also give and bequeath unto my daughter Jane Thompson one little wheel, The balance of my property, Stock, household and kitchen furniture I wish to be sold, and the proceeds of which to be equally divided amongst all my children, severally after all my debts and funeral expenses are paid, I do also appoint James Johnston Sole executor of this my last will and testament; and hereby revoking all former wills by me made, In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal, the 4th day of August in the year of our lord A.D. 1836 Signed, sealed, published Isabel Johnston (seal) and declared by the above named Isabel Johnston to be her last will and testament in presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses in the presence of the testator.
