Carolina being sick and weak of body but of sound and perfect mind and memory, I do this twentieth day of November in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty two, make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following first— First I give and bequeath unto my son George Jordan one negro girl Lucy after my wife’s decease and my negro girl Ann, one feather bed and furniture, one table, one desk, one beauro, one chest, one heifer, one bed cover, one bed quilt, and one counterpane, to him and his heirs forever— I give unto my daughter Nancy Jordan, after my wife’s decease one negro woman named Doll, and all the increase she may hereafter have, and two feather beds and furniture, one chest, one beauro, table, six shears [chears?], one cow and calf, one woman’s saddle and bridle.— I give unto my grandson Jacob Jordan after my wife’s dec’d one colt and one feather bed and furniture— I five unto my grand daughter Polly Jordan after my wife’s decease, one feather bed and furniture, one chest, one small table to her and her heirs forever— I give unto my wife Mary Jordan during her life my negro man Luke and negro woman Nancy, and the use of all my estate, of what kind so ever, with my land and plantation with my land and where on I now live, and my wife is to give unto my son George Jordan and my daughter Nancy Jordan, such part of my property, as she may think proper, and when she thinks they kneed it, and after my wife’s decease, all my estate that is then reaming to be equally divided between my son George Jordan and my daughter Nancy Jordan— I give unto all and each of my other child, all the property they have already received from me and which is now in their possession, and the sum of two dollars to each and every one of them to be raised out of my estate and paid by my executors, and I do nominate and appoint James Nicleson [*icheson] and George Gicadle [*icadle] my executors, in writing where of I have here unto set my hand and seal, acknowledged in the presences of David Perkins Jonathan Jordan {seal} Jas, Paul [All signatures] File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/nc/orange/wills/jordan1581gwl.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/ncfiles/ File size: 2.9 Kb
