In the Name of God Amen

I William Lewis of Orange County & State of North
Carolina being Sic and weak in Body but of Perfect
Sound Mind & Memory, do make this my last Will
and Testament Makeing Nul & Voyd all other will
or Wills by me heretofore made ---

Item my will & Desire is that all my Just Debts
be paid by my Executors as soon as Convenient
after my Decease & the Resedue of my Estate
Real & personal I Devise give & bequeath to my
Brothers James Howell Robert Charles Nicholas &
my Sister Jane Mereweather Lewis's to be Equally
Devided amongst them & Each of their parts I
Devise give & Bequeath to them their heirs &
assigns forever -

    I nominate & appoint my Brothers James
Howell & Robert Lewis my whole & Sole Execut
=ors to this my last will & Testament in Witness
whare of I hereunto set my hand & Seale this
Sixth day of Feby. A.D.m. 1793 ----

Charles Nicholas & my Sister Jane Mereweather Lewis
to be equally divided amongst them and each of their parts

& Robert Lewis's my whole and sole Executors to this
my last Will and Testament In witness whereof

                  The Execution of the above lost Will
and Testament of William Lewis deceased was duly proved
in open Court the Oath of Thomas Hines one of the
subscribing Witnesses thereto and was Ordered to be Recorded

Estate papers comprise 3 pages and are found in a folder labeled "Lewis, William (1793)".  Inventory was signed by James Lewis.  It was taken 26 Aug 1793 and lists simply "14 Negroes"
