Testator: Jane Lindsey

In the Name of God Amen I Jane Lindsey
of he County of Orange & State of Northcarolina
being of sound and perfect mind and memory (blessed
be God) do make bublish[sic] and declare this to be
my last will and testament in manner and
form following (viz) First I give and bequeath
to my Children nine in number all the
perishable property left me by my husband
in his last will and testament to be Equally
divided amongst them

Secondly I constitute make and ordain
Joseph Hodge & William McClusky my
sol[e] Executors of this my last will and
testament --- In witness where of I have
have[sic] hereunto set my hand and seal this
second day of May [in] the year of our Lord
one thousand Eight Hund[red] and sixteen

pronounced and declared by
the said Jane Lindsey
as her last will and
testament in the presence
of us who in her presence
and in the presence of
Each other have hereunto

Additional Comments:

This will is not recorded in the will books - presumably due to the fact that it was not properly witnessed.

Estate papers comprise three pages and are found in a folder labeled "Lindsey, Jane (1816)".  This is the administrator bond, John Lindsey appointed.  The executors listed in the will were not assigned.
