All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Ben Franklin ben.franklin.ffru@gmail.com May 2024 Source: Loose Will, NC Archives CR 073.801, Will Book Volume B, pages 42-43 Written: August 22, 1787 Recorded: Aug 1788 Testator: William Logan In the Name of God Amen I William Logan of the County of Orange Planter being very weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God, Calling unto mind the mortality of my body and know- ing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to Say principally and first of all I Give and recom[m]end my Soul into the hand of Almighty God that give it and my body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall rec[e]ive the Same again by the mighty power of God, and as Touching Such worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me with in this life I give demise and dispose of the Same in the manner and form following first I give and bequeath to my Wife Agness her bed and furniture and my bay mare to be at hir disposal and to have Creditable mantainince of the benifat that may arise from the land I now possess Item I give and bequeath to my Son Georg[e] Long ten pounds which he Justly Stands indebted to me at this time, Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth a young bay horse four years old and as to my Land that I now possess I wishe it to be Equalley divided between my Daughter Elizabeth and my grandson William Long and as to my movable Estate I al[l]ow it to be Equaly devided between my Wife Agnes and my daughter Elizabeth, and I do hereby ap[p]oint and ordain ["and" x-out] ["appoint" x-out] John Hart Senr and James Hart to be my Lawfull Executors of this my last Will and Testement and I do hereby disalow Revoke and disanull all other legasies Wills and Testements made by me heretofore ratifying and confirming this to be my last Will and Testement in Wittness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this 22d day of August 1787 his Signed Seald pronounced and (+) delivered in presance of us William Logan (Seal) William Hart } mark John Hart Junr } Jurat Exrs quallified Aug.
