I Andrew McBride of Oring Countey and Steat of Noarth Carolinia being of sound & parfect mind and memory, blessed be God, do this first of October in the year of our Lord 1778 make and published this my last Will and Testament, in manner following, that is to say, first I give and bequeath my Spirit to God how[who] gave it, and my bodey to the dust, and I hereby make and Ordain my worthy and well beloved Wife Jane McBride Executor[sic] of this my last Will and Testament, all my Land & Goods & Chattles that I hold or perses[possess] In Witness whereof I the said Andrew McBride have to this my last Will and Testament, set my Hand & Seal the day & year above Written: Signed Sealed published & declared by the said Andrew McBride the Testator in the presence of us who were preasent at the time of signing & sealing thereof Test Andrew McBride (seal) John Steel, William Morrow Orange County Febry. Court 1779 The Execution of the within Will was duly proved in open Court by the Oath of William Morrow, one of the subscribing Witnesses thereto, & Ordered to be Recorded Test Nath. Rochester C.C.
