Testator: Perry Mitchell

In the name of God Amen I Perry Mitchell
of Orange County and State of North Carolina being
weak in Body but of sound mind and memory
blessed be to Almighty God for the same do make
and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner
and form following (viz) First I give and bequeath unto
my beloved wife Polly Mitchell my right title and
Interest in a Certain Tract or parcel of land lying
and being in the County of Orange left to me by the
Will of my father at the death of my Mother and
I do give said land to my wife Polly and her heirs
forever. I further give to my wife Polly all my House
hold and Kitchen furniture and stock of every Kind
forever and all the rest and residue of my personal
Estate, goods and Chattles of what kind and nature
Soever and I do appoint my wife Polly Mitchell
and Eli Murray Executrix and Executor of this
my last Will and Testament and hereby revoking
all former Wills by me made: In Witness whereof
I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this 9th day
of September in the year of our Lord 1823 ~~~~

The Execution of the foregoing last Will & testament of Perry
Mitchell was duly proved in open Court by the Oath of
John Compton a subscribing Witness thereto & ordered to
be recorded - At the same time Polly Mitchell the
Executrix named therein qualified accordingly
