Imprimis, It is my will that my ["exe" x-out] ["cutor" x-out] just debts and funeral expences be first paid Item I give & bequeath to my son John Picket my negroe man Isaac Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Murry my negroe boy named Green Item I give and bequeath to my son William Picket my negroe boy Squire Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Margaret Roney my negro boy Andrew Item I give and bequeath to my son James Picket my wagon and my negroe man named Abram [page 2] Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah McDaniel my negroe girl young Hanah Item I give and bequeath to my daugh= ter Martha Murry my negroe boy Jacob Item I give and bequeath to my son Walker Picket my negroe woman called Fran[Fan?] Item it is further my will that my ex= cutors as soon as may be convenient after my death, sell in such manner as they may think best, all ["other" x-out] my other property not herein specially disposed of or given away in my life time, and that they divide the proceeds thereof equally amongst all my children, after first paying off all my Just debts & funeral expences And I do hereby constitute and appoint my sons John and James Picket executors of this my last will & testament, In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 30th day of March 1819 Signed sealed published and declared in presence of Edward Pickett (seal) James Mebane Jurat J. Mebane Orange County May Term 1819 The Execution of the foregoing last Will & Testament of Edward Pickett was duly proved in open Court by the Oath of James Mebane a subscribing Witness thereto and ordered to be Recorded. At the same time the Executors therein named wee duly qualified Test Additional Comments: Will Book Volume D, pages 561-562 Recorded May 1819 Estate Papers comprise 24 pages and are found in a folder labeled "Pickett, Edward (1819)".
