In the name of God, Amen I Edward
Picket being in perfect health and Soundness
of mind blessed be God, But calling to mind
the shortness and uncertainty of my life, do
make, publish and declare, this my last will
and testament in the manner and form
following Viz.

Imprimis, It is my will that my ["exe" x-out]
["cutor" x-out] just debts and funeral expences be
first paid

Item I give & bequeath to my son John
Picket my negroe man Isaac

Item I give and bequeath to my daughter
Mary Murry my negroe boy named Green

Item I give and bequeath to my son William
Picket my negroe boy Squire

Item I give and bequeath to my daughter
Margaret Roney my negro boy Andrew

Item I give and bequeath to my son James
Picket my wagon and my negroe man
named Abram

Sarah McDaniel my negroe girl young
Hanah

Item I give and bequeath to my daugh=
ter Martha Murry my negroe boy Jacob

Item I give and bequeath to my son
Walker Picket my negroe woman called

Item it is further my will that my ex=
cutors as soon as may be convenient after
my death, sell in such manner as they may
think best, all ["other" x-out] my other property not
herein specially disposed of or given away
in my life time, and that they divide the
proceeds thereof equally amongst all my
children, after first paying off all my Just
debts & funeral expences And I do hereby
constitute and appoint my sons John and
James Picket executors of this my last will
& testament, In testimony whereof I have hereunto
set my hand & seal this 30th day of March 1819

The Execution of the foregoing last Will & Testament of
Edward Pickett was duly proved in open Court by the
Oath of James Mebane a subscribing Witness thereto and
ordered to be Recorded.  At the same time the Executors
therein named wee duly qualified
