Calling to mind the mortality of the body and knowing that this is ap[p]ointed for all man once to die - do make and order this my last will and testamony in the following manner and form as touching such worldly estate as it hath pleased the Lord to bless me with in this life - I give bequeath and dispose of the same in the following manner - First I order that all of my Just debts be paid together with my funeral charges ~~ I give and bequeath to my son John Pike the [x-out] plantation or tract of land that I now live on containing one hundred and seventeen acres be it the same more or less -- provided he will pay to my daughter Abigail Pike two hundred dollers out of the price of the above said tract of land - which I will for him to do I will for all of my other property to be Sold and my daughters Abigail and Mary Pike to receive a portion in money to make them equal with my daughters Priscilla Hannah and Nancy which have been ap[p]ortioned off for house keeping [page 2] The balence of the money with all other rights and accounts to be equelly devided amongst my daug[h]ters namely Abigail Nancy and Mary and heirs of my deceased daughter Priscilla and Hannah the heirs of each to be equel with one of my living daughters And lastley I nominate constitute and appoint my trusty friend William Thompson whole and sole executor of this my last will and testament as witness whareof I have hereunto set my hand and seal -- this 16th day of the 10th month in the year of our Lord 1829 Test William Pike (seal) Wm.
