ORANGE COUNTY, NC - WILLS - David D. Rainey Senr., 7 Jun 1800 ----¤¤¤¤---- In the name of God amen this seventh day of June, in the year of our Lord, 1800, I David Rainey of Orange County, in State of North Carolina, being very sick and week in body, but of perfect mind and memory, thanks be givin unto God for the same and calling to mind the moetality of my body and knowing, that it is apponted for all men one and to to die, do make and ordain this my last will and testament: VIZ ,spritally, and first of all, I give and recommend my sole into the hands of God. That gave all; and for my body I recommend it to the earth to be buried in a Cristian like and discent maner at the creation of my excenters, nothing and doubting but at the general risurricion. I shall and the same again by the same by the mighty power of God, and as touching such worrldly estate share with it shall pleased God to bless me in this life, I give, desire and dispose of the same in maner and form following: VIZ In the first place, I give and bequath to JINEY my wife, one soral mare the name of bon, a saddel, bed and furniture and to be mentained on the plantation, while she lives a widow; also I give to my daughters, Susannah Rainey, Jinney R., Marget R. and Mary Rainey, each of them one cow and saddle bed and furniture. (Next line can't read)) thare present home, also I give to my son, John Rainey my son David Rainey and daughter Catherine, each of them five shillings sterling if demanded. After all just debts are paid, I give and bequeth to my son James Rainey, all my lands and all other property at my death.
